Art Classes for Ages 2.5-12

In our Foundations Program students learn fundamental skills of both drawing and painting. Each student is guided through a program that is entirely customized to him or her, choosing images that interest them most, from projects geared to their individual skill level. Regardless of level, each project offers the student greater knowledge of the medium and the chance to further develop his or her skills. Students progress at their own pace, moving on from simpler linear subject matter to more complex three-dimensional subject matter as their skills develop, and as teachers feel they are ready. Over time students explore a broad range of traditional mediums and subject matter ultimately including landscape, animals, and still life.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum offers Discovery Camps throughout the year, as well as toddler/caregiver classes for on various topics. Our camps and classes provide child-directed, inquiry driven learning through project-based, hands-on activities.

Discovery Youth: An after-school program for youth in grades 6 - 12. Students learn the latest media skills, the importance of volunteerism, and interactive learning while making friends, making a difference, and having fun.

The Digital Arts and Culinary Academy's mission is to help participants grow and build self confidence through the learning of at least one of four components in our program: Digital Audio Production, Digital Video Production, Culinary Arts, or Urban Agriculture. At Lighthouse, we offer a variety of in-person and virtual creative writing workshops, in all genres, on weekends, after school, and during school-closure days, including the Young Authors Collective for teens, summer camps, and homeschool enrichment

Everyone in the Tri-Valley should have the opportunity to experience the arts at whatever age and whatever level they are. Livermore Arts offers educational activities and classes, performances at schools and at the Bankhead Theater, and free events for the whole family. For students, there are also workshops and master classes with visiting artists. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.

After school and weekend sessions are available for 6-14 year old individuals who want more marine science education.

SCRAP-in-a-Box is an arts enrichment program that serves students in San Francisco's after-school and OST programs focusing on underserved communities, especially in the Bayview and SF's Southeast Corridor.

Studio One's youth activities are designed to expose the youth a variety of activities. Our Master Artist lead visual, digital and performing arts classes that encourage youth to take chances and express themselves while making new friends in a fun community setting.

The Crucible offers adults and youth a wide variety of hands-on classes in industrial arts including welding, blacksmithing, woodworking, glass working, ceramics, enameling, mold-making, fire performance, electronics & kinetics, and much more.

We offer virtual educational enrichment classes via ZOOM for children in 1st-6th grades, Monday through Friday, five days a week from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM PST.
