Recreation classes, Summer & Afterschool Youth Recreation Programs

Diablo Ballet School follows a structured sequence of training stages intended to increase student’s technical skills, stamina and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. We emphasize correct placement in order to prevent injury. Our curriculum embraces traditional ballet principles. Our instructors have extensive experience and a passion for teaching and sharing their love of dance. These methods help to provide a healthy and enjoyable learning environment and allow the students to experience a feeling of mastery in each level.

El Campanil Theatre Academy--a tiered, multi-layered program meant to not only educate students in the performing arts, but give them tools for career placement in the performing arts.

We offer live and interactive online classes of chess, piano, Rubik's Cube, guitar, mathematics, abacus, public speaking, creative writing, yoga, Python programming, Scratch coding, physics, chemistry, and language classes (Spanish, German, French)

Classes for children getting into Irish Dancing, as well as beginner, intermediate, and advanced level adult dancers.

Formal dance instruction usually begins around age 6. Our definition of formal is participating in a class that is less based on imagery. Gradually dance terms are used, steps are broken down and analyzed, and technique and form is refined in warm ups, across the floor routines, and choreography. Whether learning ballet, tap, hip-hop or contemporary dance, though, the ultimate goal is to have fun while challenging ourselves to improve. Competitiveness naturally falls by the wayside and dancers thrive. They move comfortably in their own bodies, risk exploring new movements and ultimately master new skills with pride.

Everyone in the Tri-Valley should have the opportunity to experience the arts at whatever age and whatever level they are. Livermore Arts offers educational activities and classes, performances at schools and at the Bankhead Theater, and free events for the whole family. For students, there are also workshops and master classes with visiting artists. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.

Living Jazz is committed to Transforming Lives Through Music. In order to achieve this goal, we remain intentional about designing programs based on clear and defined perspectives and philosophies. We believe that high quality music education should be accessible to all people regardless of skill level or financial capacity. We also believe that music is a vehicle for overcoming differences, and is a natural bridge to promoting respect and appreciation for diverse cultural traditions. We have seen first hand how children and youth from diverse backgrounds can come together and share in a deeply impactful joyous and creative experience based on mutual respect and generosity.

Creative and "Pre ballet" for ages 4-6, Ballet training beginning with age 7. Annual performances.

You can sign up for a class at any time since all of our classes are on-going and there is no waiting period to start a class.  The student’s age is used as a guideline for placing a student in a class. Please contact us if you have any questions. Students start with level 1 and progress on an individual basis.  Our flexible environment allows student to join a class at any time during the calendar year. ​ Private lessons are available by appointment.

Tiffany’s Dance Academy of Danville offers our award winning Twinkle Baby and Twinkle Star classes – a perfect combination of structure and fun for dancers as young as two years old.
