Novice Public Speaking camp (1st-3rd grade)

This novice camp will provide an introduction to the basics of public speaking. Each camp will sample a different speech & debate event including storytelling, impromptu and spontaneous debate.

This novice camp will provide an introduction to the basics of public speaking.  Each camp will sample a different speech & debate event including storytelling, impromptu and spontaneous debate. Training includes an introduction to public speaking, verbal and nonverbal messages, and techniques of oral presentation and persuasion. This camp will help students establish interest in public speaking and prepare for the full beginner public speaking & debate course (Art of Public Speaking). 

Prerequisite: None 

Recommended Next Steps: Additional Novice Public Speaking Camp or Art of Public Speaking Class.   Note: the content of this camp will be different for each session we offer.
