“Now, more than ever, we all need opportunities to laugh with our neighbors,” said CIRCUS BELLA co-founder and Director Abigail Munn. “We’re thrilled to be back with our gorgeous tent at the East Cut, in the City I call home, and be a part of activating downtown with arts and entertainment.”

From the moment you arrive, let us transport you to a delightful world of magic and splendor. Back for a second year, KALEIDOSCOPE continues CIRCUS BELLA’s 17-year tradition of bringing joy to thousands of children and their families in San Francisco and the Bay Area. The show is funded, in part by SF New Deal’s ENGY activation series as well as a generous partnership with the Crossing at East Cut.

Performed in the round in a 350-seat Big Top Circus Tent, the beauty of KALEIDOSCOPE is the intimacy and immediacy of the one-ring circus. A diverse cast of 11 perform thrilling feats of balance and strength, demonstrations of grace and poise, outrageous humor, and slapstick antics. The 2024/25 edition features guest stars Garret Allen (San Diego) and Esther De Monteflores (San Francisco) who represent some of the best and brightest circus talent in the country. Original music is performed live by our beloved 6-piece Circus Bella All-Star Band. Let yourself be dazzled and join in the celebration. KALEIDOSCOPE is the perfect show for families and children of all ages, looking for a joyous holiday event that will stay with you all season long and beyond! Now, more than ever, we all need more moments to sit down with each other, all together, to celebrate, reflect and LAUGH!

The show is directed and conceived by Abigail Munn (Circus Bella co-founder and director). Original music is performed live and led by master composer Rob Reich. Elaborate costumes are designed and fabricated by Autumn Adamme of San Francisco’s legacy business, Dark Garden Unique Corsetry. New this year clown coach Michelle Matlock (Cirque de Soleil - Ovo) is turning up the volume on the hilarity of Circus Bella’s beloved clown trio.

The show will run for four weeks and take place inside a 68-foot round, heated circus tent built in Italy by Francesco Grego https://fratelligrego.com/en/about-us/. The immersive performance seats guests around the stage and close to the performers. Circus concessions, such as popcorn, cotton candy, and pretzels will be available at the performance. Nearby food and beverages are available at special discounted pricing at the Gourmet Grotto and Greyhound Bar, part of the larger Crossing at East Cut space.
