ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Benjamin Garcia has been involved with different aspects of theatre since he was five years old. He has worked as a voice, stage and screen actor, as well as a writer, director, and singer-songwriter with companies all over the bay area including The Other Other Theatre Co, SF Bay Area Theatre Co, South Bay Musical Theatre, Pacifica Spindrift Players, Kuku Studios, Altarena Playhouse, and more. He has been a teaching artist with I Can Do That Theatre Co for three years and is thrilled to be teaching Improvisation at the El Campanil Theatre Academy for the second time. His training includes improvisation at Synergy Theatre, where he currently performs with "The Improvocateurs", inclusivity in improv with Impromiscuous (UK), and Tools for the Working Actor (The Barrow Group).
El Campanil Theatre Academy (ECTA) is a training program that offers specialty theatre classes as well as fully-produced productions for local students aged 8-18. In order to bring the highest quality theatrical productions to Antioch, we will have a participation fee for all students moving forward. PLEASE NOTE: All students must show proof of full vaccination (two weeks after dose of Johnson & Johnson or after second dose of Pfizer or Moderna) by date of first class (1/20/22).
