First Week of Stage Combat Class

Have you ever wondered how fight scenes are choreographed in stage productions? This introductory online course teaches students the many ins and outs of stage combat, from powerful punches to kicks to sword fights to prop battles with vases and pots. It’s all fun and very fake! Class focuses on the actor’s use of body, movement and style. San Carlos Children’s Theater instructor Sam Borthwick will explain the elements required to make sure a combat scene is interesting, realistic, and super safe. The skill of safe stage fighting is a “must” for every modern actor.
