Earth Month Kickoff Celebration at the Refuge
Let’s kick off Earth Month with a celebration at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge!
Join us any time from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 6th at the Environmental Education Center in Alviso.

Let’s kick off Earth Month with a celebration at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge!
Join us any time from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 6th at the Environmental Education Center in Alviso. The event will be an open house, with time to explore, learn more about our endangered species, join a guided tour, participate in some arts & crafts, and much more as we celebrate our Earth!
We’ll also have these scheduled events:
- 10:15am – Birding with Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance
- 11:30am – Birding with Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance
- 12:00pm – Mini BioBlitz with BioBlitz Club
- 1:15pm – Puppet Show with US Fish & Wildlife Service
Event parking may be limited. We highly encourage carpooling if possible!

Extra Considerations and Accommodations:
- We encourage you to wear sun protection, warm layers, and comfortable clothes that are good for exploring the trails. The entire event will take place outside, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and have fun!
- ADA compliant parking spaces, trails, and portable toilets are available on-site.
- Restrooms will be available on-site in the form of ADA-compliant portable toilets and hand-washing stations.
