WHERE SIDEWALKS MEET SOIL: FINDING LIFE IN THE CONCRETE JUNGLE
Join SaveNature.Org in this class to explore the tiny worlds that thrive beneath our feet! Our educators will guide you through nature observation, where you will be provided all the tools you need to catch and observe insects and arthropods up close.
We will meet at the Dogpatch Hub, a vibrant community center in Potrero Hill, where we will have short introductory content. We will then walk to Progress Park where you can use all of the information and tools you have been provided to catch and observe insects up close in their environment! All materials are provided.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- Insect collection techniques
- Nature observation
- How to use scientific tools
- How insects give back
This event is perfect for everyone ages 5 and up!
