Winter Strings Camp

Crowden is excited to offer an in-person winter strings camp to cap off the year! Designed for beginning- to intermediate- level violin, viola, or cello players, Crowden's 2020 Winter Camp gives participants an opportunity to make live music with friends. Complete beginners are welcome! Beginning players learn the parts of their instrument, as well as proper positioning and form. Instruments are provided to beginners for use during the camp. More experienced players are placed into group classes and chamber ensembles with their peers. To be placed in a group, participants will be asked to provide a brief audition video showing the most recent piece they have worked on, or piece they play the best. As part of Crowden's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, all participants will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test taken within 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Crowden will provide a list of available test sites to registrants, including free on-site testing on Crowden's campus.
