Wilderness Survival Camp 2021 at Terra Marin School (Ages 14-17)

This survival focused nature camp gives teens the opportunity to push beyond their comfort zone, to broaden their existing skills in nature and even surprise themselves with their potential. Their knowledge and familiarity with their natural environment will grow as will their independence and ability to rely on themselves in challenging situations. Designed for youth with some previous earth education experience, Wilderness Survival 101 will improve skills in the areas of ancestral arts, stealth movement, wilderness skills, and relational education. By the end of camp, your teen will hopefully feel as comfortable in the wilderness as they do in their own home.

DISCLAIMER & PRE-REQUISITES
This camp will include mildly-strenuous hikes, relatively intense mock-survival scenarios, and is intended to safely expand participants’ comfort zones. Before registering, please make sure your child is prepared to:
- hike distances of at least 6-8 miles
- have irregular eating schedules
- navigate a wide variety of uneven terrain
- go barefoot in nature (at times)
- not know the time or schedule until provided unless for medical reasons (i.e. medication schedules)
- safely engage in mildly-stressful group challenges without risk of endangering themselves or others
