June 28: Pledge to Clean-Up Your Neighborhood – All Day

Take the pledge to keep Mountain View clean. By pledging to clean-up your neighborhood, you agree to pick-up trash along the streets, public right of way, or City parks. After you take the pledge, submit a photo of your trash to Recreation@MountainView.gov to receive a free City of Mountain View kite. Supplies are limited.

June 29: Hats Off for Mountain View – 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Mountain View Senior Center

The City of Mountain View is partnering with the Community Services Agency to collect hats for residents who need assistance beating the summer heat. Drop off your new hats for donation at the Mountain View Senior Center lobby from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

June 30: Invasive, Non-Native Clean-Up – 10:30 a.m.-Noon at Shoreline at Mountain View

Help restore the Mountain View at Shoreline landscape by removing invasive, non-native plant species. Led by Shoreline staff, volunteers will assist with removing invasive plants from the preserve’s habitat areas.

July 1: Activity Kits for El Camino Hospital – 5-6 p.m. at The View Teen Center

Help a child patient cope in the hospital during these difficult times! As part of The City of Mountain View's service week, The View Teen Center is collecting items to pack into activity kits for pediatric patients. Activity Kits will go to pediatric patients at El Camino Hospital Mountain View. In addition, teens 11-17 are invited to help pack the kits and deliver to youth in the hospital. Help us spread cheer this summer!

July 2: Be Kind to Your Neighbor – All Day

Decorate a kindness door hanger and share with your neighbors as a way to spread joy and unity. Door hangers will be available here on June 21 or pick-up a free copy at the Mountain View Senior Center, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

July 3: Plant a Tree with Mountain View Forestry

Residents are invited to sign-up and participate in small-group plantings to grow Mountain View’s tree canopy. Parks and Forestry staff will lead residents through the tree planting experience. There are four unique opportunities to plant trees at different Mountain View parks. Each tree planting will be restricted to four individuals. Pre-registration is required.

9:30 a.m. Bubb Park           

11 a.m. Eagle Park            

1 p.m. Jackson Park
